Creating a table in the editor

In order to edit and position comfortably and easily text and images in the message body it is advised to make use of a table.
You can create and use the table in a few simple steps and further in the manual you can learn additional options in creating a table.

Creating a table


1. Go to the "Messages" tab and select "New message".

2. Give the message an 
Inner Name and subject. The  Inner name is intended for use only within the system while the subject appears in the subject line of the email.

3. Select the table icon in the tool bar.


 

4. The "Table properties" window will open



 
  • Enter the number of rows and columns
  • Enter the table width. The recommended width for optimal display is up to 750 pixels.
  • The height will vary depending on the amount of content.
  • If you wish the table to be invisible in the message, set the "border size" to "0"
  • If you wish the table to be visible in the message, set the "border size" to "1"
  • Select the cell alignment - to left to the center or to the right. You can also align each cell separately.
  • In the "Headers" option you can highlight and enlarge the text. You can also do this late outside of the "Table properties" window.

5. Click "Ok".

6. Enter the content into the table. Cell width and height will vary depending on the content of the cell.

7. To view the message as it appears once sent you can click on "Preview" or send yourself a test mail.





 

 
Additional options:



Merge cells

1. Position the cursor inside the cell you want to merge

2. Click the right mouse button   

3. Select "Cell" 

4. Select the merge cells that is suitable (merge right, merge down)
 



 


Split Cells

1. Position the cursor inside the cell you want to split.

2. Click the right mouse button.
 

3. Position your cursor on "Cell" and more options will appear.

4. Select "Split Cell Horizontally" or "Split Cell Vertically"
 



 



Creating a table within a table

1. Define the cell height and width and click "ok"

2. Position your cursor inside the cell and click on "table" in the tool bar.

3. Define the table properties as explained above. Please note that the size of the internal table should not exceed the size of the cell that contains it.

4. Click "ok" to finish.
 



 



Alignment of cell contents

1. Position the cursor in the desired cell.

2. Click the right mouse button and select "Cell " and then "Cell Properties"
 

3. The "Cell Properties" window will open.

4. Set horizontal alignment (left, center, right)

5. Set vertical alignment (top, center, bottom, base line)

6. Click "ok" to finish.
