Steps in sending a SMS:

Attention
–
in order to begin using the SMS system a sender telephone number must be entered in the management information(
). This number will appear as the SMS sender(
).
Purchasing a SMS package
Displayed at the top of the page is the amount of SMS messages that are available to you.
1.
Choose the
package
size that you wish to
purchase
. This package will be added to the amount of text messages that are available to you at this moment.

the prices displayed do not include VAT
2.
Enter your
credit card details
. It is required to fill in
all
the fields.
3.
Enter
details for invoice delivery
. The fields "Invoice name", "Address" and "Email" are required fields.
4.
Click "
Next Step
"
5.
A window will appear summarizing the
purchase details and terms
.
The terms
must
be read and
accepted
.
6.
Immediately after your purchase you will be notified that the
acquisition was implemented
and an
invoice
will be sent via email
.
Creating a new message
1.
Give the message an
internal name
– this name will
not be displayed to the customer
and is for your convenience only.
2.
Enter the
message content
. At the bottom of the window you can follow the number of characters and the amount of messages that will be deployed in the SMS. There is a limit of 4 messages per SMS.
Note

You can limit the amount of characters in a single message (up to 70 characters.)
3.
You can enter into the message content a
custom field
such as first name or date of previous meeting.

-
Custom fields take up to 10 characters. In the case that the contents of the field are longer than 10 characters the content is cut off by a full stop.
Sending
1.
Once you have created the message, you can send a
test message
.
Important!
A test message is calculated as a standard message and cost the same fee.
If the amount of test messages exceeds the amount of messages in the account, the sending will stop and the message will appear in the messages that have been sent.
In order to
edit
the message click on "
resend
"
2.
Determine the message
scheduling
: Immediate sending, schedule sending (on a specific date) or according to user field.
3.
Choose the
mailing list
or the specific individuals from
all subscriptions
.
4.
Select the
name of the sender
. The default settings send the message according to the details entered in your management information.
5.
Click on "
Next Step
". (If you chose to send to specific individuals from all subscriptions "send" will be displayed)
6.
At this point you can check the approximate amount of messages to be sent by clicking "
click here to calculate
".
Note
-
The total amount of messages is an estimate only, because there are details that cannot be predicted in advance.
Checking this
is most important if you have used a
custom field
(length of content may differ) and when the amount of messages you have left in your account are close to the amount of recipients.
7.
Should more SMS's be sent then you have available on your account the sending process will be
stopped
and you will receive an alert via email.
8.
Once the SMS is sent it will appear in
Sent Messages
,
Future Send
or
By Date Field
depending on the scheduling you selected.
Scheduled messages will moved to sent messages immediately after sending.
Tip
-
* Clicking on the amount of
sent messages
will display the message recipients.
*Clicking on the amount of
failed messages
will display the recipients that did not receive the message (empty mobile phone field, invalid mobile phone number or contains more than/less than digits.
Of course it is impossible to calculate the amount of failed transmissions occurred by the mobile carrier of the customer and therefore these messages will be calculated as sent messages and full payment will be charged on them.
